This web site is for anyone interested in the Alsup family from Vienna, West Virginia. The Alsups have lived in Vienna for as long as most people can remember, but it didn't really start that way.

Richard Alsup and Alathea Walker are originally both from the southeast corner of Kansas. They dated each other for several years before getting married in Cedar Vale, Kansas.

After college, Richard was hired by DuPont and the couple wound up in Wilmington Delaware for roughly five years. It must have been quite a household with 4 boys under the age of 7.

The family moved to Vienna in 1958 and have been there ever since. All four boys went on to college, started their own families and never permanently returned to West Virginia.

Richard passed away in December 2011 and Marty died in 2005. The extended families all miss them dearly. Mom is doing fine and now has seven grandkids representing the next generation of the family.
